In the metal processing department – a key component of our mineral waste treatment operations – extensive maintenance work was carried out. Among other tasks, the screw conveyor, which transports metals to the sink-float separation system, and the large sink-float tank were completely replaced.
The photo shows the replacement of the multi-ton sink-float drum – a technically demanding procedure that required the use of two heavy-duty cranes.
During the work, operations in the metal processing area were temporarily halted. While this meant a short production stop, one principle at STORK always applies: quality and reliability come first.
In this way, we ensure that our facilities remain efficient, safe, and high-performing in the long term – for our customers, the environment, and shared progress.
